John Clinton
Candidate for Judge, Criminal Court-at-Law No. 4

John Clinton was born in Pasadena. His father was a well-known school principal. He joined the Houston Police Department at age 19 and spent 30 years with HPD – 23 of them as a detective sergeant. He worked himself through college and law school at HPD and started a successful private law practice with his wife, Lus. John retired from HPD in 2005 and has already received the endorsement of the Houston Police Officers’ Union, the Latino Peace Officers Association, the Coalition of Pasadena Police, the Pasadena Police Officers' Union and the Houston Police Retired Officers Association. John and Lus live in Spring with their two young sons and are members of the Woodlands Community Presbyterian Church.
