David Farr
Candidate for Judge, 312th Family District Court
Judge David Farr presided as Judge of the 312th Family District Court from November 2007 until December 2008. Texas Governor Rick Perry appointed him to that bench. Farr was also the Associate Judge in the 257th Family District Court from January 2002 until November 2007 where he received the best "outstanding overall" rating for all family court judges in the 2007 judicial bar poll. Farr is a graduate of Texas A&M University and the Texas Southern University Law School. He has been married for 15 years to his wife, Betsy, and they have three children - Megan, Katy and Jack. Farr also serves as a lieutenant colonel in the Texas Army National Guard. He has been on active duty deployments to Bosnia, Kosovo and New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina. LTC Farr is currently serving as the Command Judge Advocate, 72nd JASG-C in Baghdad, Iraq. Farr is Board Certified in Family Law, a member of the Gulf Coast Family Law Specialists and the College of the State Bar of Texas. As a proud former member of the Texas A&M Corps of Cadets, Farr belongs to the Texas Aggie Bar Association and the Texas Aggie Corps of Cadets Association.
