Just a few short
years ago, using Bond money,
Cy-Fair built the exorbitant Berry
Center
One year after Raising
the Cy-Fair ISD TAX
Rate to support last years 12.5%
budget increase,
Cy-Fair ISD is back asking for more taxpayer money.
Last year, your Harris County
Republican Party exposed the distortions that the Cy-Fair ISD was using to raise
taxes. Even though hundreds of Cy-Fair voters turned out to oppose the tax
increase, the Cy-Fair ISD Board, with contempt for
Taxpayers, voted to Increase Taxes.
6-0 to
Increase TAXes. Superintendent Anthony does not vote.
This
year, Cy-Fair ISD is back with a huge $807 Million dollar bond package.
While Cy-Fair ISD needs additional schools, it's time they spend taxpayer’s
money more wisely. They do not need:
$100 Million dollar high
schools
$24,000 video conference
equipment per school
$1,200 sound system for each
classroom
Laptops for every student
Cy-Fair should focus on Education,
not Rolls Royce type amenities. Cy-Fair ISD must learn to live within the
means of the taxpayer. How does
it help the children if families are taxed out of their homes?
The
district needs to realize that we are already taxed enough. They have the funds
to service a new EIGHTY MILLION DOLLAR
bonded indebtedness for a football and special events center, yet at the same
time they plead poverty in order to
raise your taxes
and build exorbitant buildings.
The Harris County Republican Party’s
message is simple:
DO IT OVER - DO IT
FOR LESS
VOTE NO on this
