On June 16, 2008, 34
year-old Huong Thien Nguyen was
robbed and then shot to death
right in front of her sister,
who was also shot, but survived
the brutal attack. John Edward
Green, Jr. stands accused of
this senseless murder but, if
Democrat Judge
Kevin Fine
has his way, Green may elude the
sentence that fits this horrific
crime. This is because Judge
Fine, who was elected in the
2008 Obama wave, has declared
that the death penalty is
unconstitutional and cannot be
imposed on Green, if convicted.
Citizens of Harris
County, Republicans and
Democrats alike, are appalled at
this judge's indefensible ruling
and Republican elected
officials, from Attorney General
Greg
Abbott to Harris County
District Attorney
Pat Lykos,
have lined up to challenge the
ruling, which many agree will be
overturned on appeal.
This case underscores
the need for Republican judges who
apply the law, not try to create
it from the bench.
We must all redouble our efforts
to win every race from Congress,
to Governor, to the judiciary
and all the way to the bottom of
the ballot.
Please join with me today
and commit to doing whatever it
takes to defeat the Democrats in
November. Together, we can make
sure that justice in Texas
survives the Democrat's liberal
agenda.
