The Harris County Leadership Council is a groundbreaking 7-month learning program, geared towards young professionals, that offers participants an insider’s guide to the political world. Participants are engaged in an all-out political program that will focus on topics such as, fundraising, campaigning, advocacy and more. The goal of the Harris County Leadership Council is to identify and train conservative young professionals in Harris County to be the future leaders of tomorrow. Through our growing network of alumni, we hope to build long lasting relationships to help our fellows in a variety of ways including future political endeavors.
Our program begins in May and participants meet for seven different classes, on the third Saturday of each month, from May until December. Each meeting starts at 9:00 a.m. and ends at 2:00 p.m., with light breakfast and networking to start at 8:30 a.m. Lunch is provided. Classes are held at the Harris County Republican Party Headquarters. Speakers for each session will be a leading expert in specific political fields who discuss current topics and explain how participants can get involved or use their expertise and connections to help them succeed on their next political endeavor. At the end of seven months, the class puts together an exciting capstone project to be determined by the fellows in the beginning months.
The Young Leadership Development Committee is excited to be offering such an amazing program and we hope you will consider being a part of it. The cost of the class is $100 and must be paid before the first class but is not required to register. The first class of the session will be early this summer.
