GOP Officials Launch November Election Push
Houston – Harris County Republican Party Chairman Paul Simpson, County Judge Ed Emmett, Republican Party of Texas Chairman Steve Munisteri, and former Harris County Tax Assessor and current Republican nominee for State Senate District 7 Paul Bettencourt joined numerous other Republican officials and candidates to officially launch the “Republicans Make Harris County Work” campaign.
“With a little over one week before voters begin receiving absentee ballots, we are here today to begin our final push for Victory in November,” said Chairman Paul Simpson. “Working closely with the Republican Party of Texas and using modern consumer modeling techniques, Republican candidates in Harris County are well positioned to talk directly with the voters that will decide this election.” Bettencourt added, “Harris County Works because the Republican majority has enacted common sense proposals allowing our economy to be a national leader.”
Together, the Harris County Republican Party, Republican Party of Texas, Abbott for Governor and other statewide campaigns now have thirty field organizers on the ground in Harris County. “We are committed to keeping Harris County Republican and working,” said Republican Party Chairman Munisteri. Munisteri continued, “Volunteers across Harris County have made over 300,000 phone calls and knocked on over 30,000 doors in the past five months.”
“Harris County is sound financially, programmatically and institutionally and with the voters support, Republicans will continue to responsibly manage the nation’s third largest county,” said County Judge Ed Emmett. “Some of the most important and often overlooked offices of county government are our judges and clerks. It is important for voters to vote in every race on the ballot in order to keep Harris County working well.”
Simpson also announced the launch of two new websites to give voters additional resources to find out how Republicans are making Harris County Work.
