HOUSTON, September 18, 2019 – The Harris County Republican Party announced today that it has endorsed U.S. Air Force veteran and former Houston Police Officer Mike Knox for re-election as Houston City Council Member At-Large Position 1. The election will be held on Tuesday, November 5, 2019, with early voting beginning on Monday, October 21, 2019.
"The Harris County Republican Party has overwhelmingly endorsed Council Member Mike Knox for re-election, and we are grateful for his strong leadership in city government over the last four years," said Harris County Republican Party Chairman Paul Simpson. "From serving the country honorably in the U.S. Air Force to serving the City as an HPD Officer for more than 15 years, in addition to an At-Large member of Houston City Council, Mike has proven that he'll work hard to provide conservative solutions and make sure the city government works for the citizens he serves. Houston needs principled, conservative leaders like Mike. That's why we ask all Houstonians to be sure to vote for Mike Knox for Houston City Council Member At-Large Position 1 in the upcoming election."
Knox has been a resident of the Spring Branch area for over two decades, a small businessman, a 15-year HPD officer, an HOA president, a Republican precinct chair and a proud father to current HPD Officer Jason Knox. Knox and his wife, Helen, have been married for 43 years.
