2026 Republican Conventions

The Republican convention process is your opportunity to directly shape the future of the Republican Party — from the party platform and rules to leadership and legislative priorities.

The 2026 Republican Party of Texas State Convention will take place June 11–13, 2026, in Houston at the George R. Brown Convention Center.

If you’ve never participated in the convention process before, don’t worry — this page breaks it all down. Conventions are where Republicans debate ideas, vote on priorities, elect leadership, and connect with fellow conservatives from across the state.

Becoming a delegate begins by voting in the Republican Primary on March 3, 2026 or by signing an Oath of Affiliation with the Republican Party.

Be sure to know your precinct and Senate district.

From there, delegates advance through a series of conventions — each one building on the last.

Step 1: Precinct Conventions

This is the first step in the convention process.

At the Precinct Convention, participants:

● Propose and vote on resolutions, which are submitted to the Temporary Resolutions Committee at the Senate District Convention
