2024 Primary Filing Information
Precinct & County Chair Filing
Precinct chair filing begins September 12, 2023, and closes Monday, December 11, 2023, at 6 PM. Precinct chairs file with the Harris County GOP Chair. There is no fee for a precinct chair.
County Chair filing begins Saturday, November 11, 2023, and closes Monday, December 11, 2023, at 6 PM. All county chair candidates, including current county chairs, file with the current county chair. There is no fee for the county chair.
Public Office Candidate Filing
The filing period for public office candidates requesting a place on the 2024 Republican primary ballot opens Saturday, November 11, 2023, and closes Monday, December 11, 2023, at 6 PM. The Harris County Republican Party will be available on the following dates and times to accept ballot applications for countywide and multi-county district offices.
Candidates for Federal Office, form 2-5, Non-Federal Candidates use form 2-4. Judicial Candidates use form 2-6.
Petition in Lieu of Filing Fee and/or Judicial Office use form 2-7.
Petition for a Statewide Judicial office use form 2-8.

The Harris County GOP Headquarters is located at 8588 Katy Freeway, Suite 445, Houston, TX 77024. Our office hours are 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM, and we will be open, with the exception of holidays, to accept applications.
