Harris County Republican Party Statement on Widespread Problems at Polling Sites Across Harris County
Houston – Harris County Republican Party Chairman Cindy Siegel released the following statement today regarding widespread issues at polling sites across Harris County in the Primary Election:
“We have had countless complaints across the county of voting machines not being delivered, machines that were not operational, missing equipment, election workers not adequately trained, and the wrong ballots being delivered to voters. This has been a complete failure on behalf of Democrat County Judge Lina Hidalgo’s unelected, unaccountable Elections Administrator who is tasked with managing our elections and was sold to voters as a way to make our elections more efficient in Harris County.

“Our number one priority today was getting voters out to the functioning polling locations and ensuring our election workers and volunteers could do their job. Our goal has always been to ensure our voters have the opportunity to exercise their right to vote and that every vote is properly recorded and counted.”
