HISD's goal is to have only 50% of 3rd graders reading at grade level and 54% performing math at grade level by 2024.
IS THAT GOOD ENOUGH?
Democrat Incumbent Holly Maria Flynn Vilaseca believes it is an acceptable goal for almost half of all of our children to fail at reading and math.
The goal should be that ALL children should be reading and performing at or above grade level - no matter what school they attend in the district.
HISD wants you to believe they don't indoctrinate our children...
but they do!

Democrat HISD Trustee incumbent Holly Maria Flynn Vilaseca doesn't represent parents
- She is endorsed by radical democrats like County Judge Linda Hildago and Lizzie Fletcher
- Incumbent Democrat Trustee Holly Maria Flynn Vilaseca is supported by special interests groups that support CRT and the Joe Biden administration that called parents Domestic Terrorists!
Sarae Addison, one of the founders of Leadership for Educational Equity in a blog said:
“We are not at the place where we can talk about historical events like Juneteenth because when it comes to talking about race at all in America, there is a visceral response. There is constantly a negative response when talking about race.
Critical Race Theory gives us a framework to talk about why we don’t talk about historical events like Juneteenth.”
The current incumbents of the HISD Board would rather spend time discussing what pronoun to call people by rather than listening to parents and concerned citizens.
That is why public comments are limited and taken only at the end of each board meeting.
