WHEREAS, Jonathan Hansen was elected to represent the Republican Party as a Precinct Chair of Precinct #293 on March 5, 2024, and

WHEREAS, the role of the precinct chair includes supporting all Republican candidates on the ballot in November 2024, and 

WHEREAS, Jonathan Hansen has repeatedly used his position and social media to support the reelection of President Biden and has attacked presumptive Republican Presidential nominee, former President Donald Trump (See attached copies), and

WHEREAS, Jonathan Hansen has repeatedly attacked other Republicans who support former President Donald Trump, and

WHEREAS, when a Harris County Republican Party precinct chair has made statements – on multiple occasions over a period of time and clearly demonstrated in public – attacking Republican candidates and fellow precinct chairs, then that precinct chair has undermined the hard work, goals, and principles of the Republican Party and cannot possibly represent the Harris County Republican Party in good faith; now

THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Harris County Republican Party vehemently condemns the actions of Precinct Chair Jonathan Hansen and demands his immediate resignation as Chair of Precinct 0293.
